Unity Arena reveals extensive changes

2025 will be the concert year of all time for the arena!

Unity Arena is already Norway's largest multi-purpose arena for concerts, sports, trade fairs and events, and now extensive adaptations and improvements have been made on several levels to create optimal concert experiences. Throughout 2024, we've worked closely with various partners to prepare for the eventful years ahead.

The arena is now adapted for concerts from 5,000 up to 25,000 visitors and can now be divided into three sizes. The smallest, "Box", can take from 5,000-10,000 visitors, the middle "Bowl" takes from 10,000-16,000, and the largest "Arena" can accommodate from 16,000-25,000 music-loving people.

In addition, major changes have been made to make the guest experience the best possible. There will be greater capacity in the bars and kiosks, as well as a new and broader food offering. Sound improvements have been made with the help of the best in the industry, and there will be an expanded Premium offering.

Big companies on board

With names like Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Broiler and One Republic in the pipeline, Unity Arena is in for an eventful year. Live Nation is Norway's largest promoter and is responsible for most of the biggest concerts in the country. They have a large and exciting calendar at Unity Arena for the next two years.

- "With the measures taken in the arena, we look forward to an exciting time with many and varied concerts at Unity Arena. We are confident that the measures that have been taken with the scaling, sound and catering will make the arena perfect for smaller concerts as well," says Head Promoter at Live Nation Norway, Martin Nielsen.

Unity Arena has also teamed up with US-based Oak View Group (OVG), a global leader in the development of venues and guest experiences.

- OVG is delighted to be working with the team at Unity Arena. The goal is to make the experience for the fans even better, now that they plan to welcome more guests than ever. OVG will support the delivery of successful events at the arena. We are looking forward to a busy 2025 with many top international artists at Unity Arena," says President of OVG International, Jessica Koravos.

Improved sound

Major changes have been made to the roof rigging to make all of this possible, and the focus has always been on making the guest experience even better. With the help of the world's leading arena acoustics company, Vanguardia, the sound experience at Unity Arena will be better than ever. The company's track record includes The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Jim Griffiths, Director of Vanguardia explains:

- Extensive 3D acoustic testing has been completed, along with a detailed modeling of the venue. This provides a concrete overview of sound quality improvements during concerts in all stage configurations. In addition, a detailed sound guide will be available to assist the production's sound configuration, so that the soundscape is as optimal as possible.

In addition to small and large concerts, there will also be trade fairs and sports events in Unity Arena. And let's not forget that the Men's Handball World Cup will be played in the arena in January. CEO Kjetil Bell Tveit is looking forward to a magical year with events of all sizes.

- "We're looking forward to giving the audience a long series of memorable experiences in a familiar arena with new opportunities and a new name. Together with our international partners and skilled Norwegian promoters, we're opening the way for even more artists to take to the stage at the arena. Next year, we'll be kicking things off with a party when the world's best men's handball players take over the arena for the World Championship.

Chairman of Unity Arena, Fredrik Steinum, adds:

- The coming years are a taste of the experience destination we are planning. The aim is to create one of Europe's leading entertainment districts with a world-class arena that is suitable for all types of concerts, events and sporting events.
